Annvix is a secure Linux server distribution based on Mandriva Linux. The goal is to provide an easy-to-use server distribution with high security features including a secure kernel, gcc with SPP stack protection patches, and secure defaults for all services. It also includes unique features such as running all services under runit and auditing tools such as rsec (msec's baby brother), tripwire, snort, and chkrootkit. It uses urpmi for package management.

It also contains programs included in separately sold Red Hat Cluster Suite and Red Hat Developer Suite. Lineox has removed and replaced all files of Red Hat Enterprise Linux which have restrictive copyright by Red Hat, Inc. Lineox has also tried to remove all user-visible references to Red Hat in Lineox Enterprise Linux. The most notable difference between Lineox Enterprise Linux and Red Hat Enterprise Linux is the support options provided by Red Hat, Inc. Lineox, Inc. does not provide any support for Lineox Enterprise Linux with the base product. Lineox, Inc. however plans to provide binary package updates for Lineox Enterprise Linux as long as Red Hat, Inc. provides updates for Red Hat Enterprise Linux in source package format.

Owl (Openwall GNU/*/Linux) is a security-enhanced server operating system with Linux and GNU software as its core. It includes a complete build environment capable of rebuilding the entire system from source, supports multiple architectures (x86, SPARC, and Alpha), and offers some compatibility for packages developed for other major Linux distributions. The primary approach to security is proactive source code review, but several other approaches are used as well.
Oracle Unbreakable Linux is an enterprise-class Linux distribution supported by Oracle. According to the project's web site, "Oracle starts with Red Hat Linux, removes Red Hat trademarks, and then adds Linux bug fixes." Although Oracle Unbreakable Linux is touted as a "support programme", rather than a distribution, it is also provided in the form of freely downloadable CD images. Oracle Unbreakable Linux is, and intends to remain, fully compatible with Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
